Aim: Why did the Industrial Revolution begin in Great Britain?
The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain because Great Britain had a great amount of cotton, which can best be used for making textiles. When cottage industries became factories, machines were made to make life easier for the workers. The first invention was by Jethro Tulls, the inventor of the seed drill, which allowed a faster and more efficient way in planting seeds. Because of this invention, Great Britain has a head start with technology compared to other parts of the world.
