Aim: How were tensions between social classes affected by the Industrial Revolution?
Tensions between social classes were affected by the Industrial Revolution. One tension came from the perspective how the working class views machinery. As to them, Machinery replaced their jobs, which disengages them from earning money for survival, like any other worker or person who lives in the city. Another tension is between the new social class structure and Great Britain's old social class structure. The old social class structure was mainly split into two classes, a upper class and working class. The new social class structure is split into four classes, an upper class, a higher-middle class, a lower-middle class, and a working class. The new social class is much more efficient compared to the old social structure due to people having an increase in economy. At times, the higher-middle class can achieve higher amounts of money compared to the upper class in the old social class structure.
